This past weekend, I decided that the tree stump had to go. I rented a 20hp gas-powered, hyraulic drive Vermeer stump grinder. I thought it was going to the about the size of a rototiller, but no dice. It showed up on its own trailer towed behind a dualie! This thing made largely satisfying amounts of noise and sprayed sawdust in a 35 foot radius.

Somehow the neighbors don't mind the noise as much as they were bothered by the thought that my deadfall might kill them! :)
