No offense to lawyers intended. They're trained to take whatever evidence they can find to promote their own (client's) case/benefit and do whatever they can to trash the evidence against them -- for the lawyer in court, becoming (noticeably)convinced by the arguments of the opposition is not an option (in fact, it's misconduct). Some lawyers find they get ahead applying this method outside of the practice of law also
