Random Bytes

I can only assume that this in response to the message that I sent Dave the other day after I posted here. His email is still pretty screwed up and he's, understandably, shunning SMTP based communications ;) Anyways, the reason I ask is that we're doing the 2.0 enclosures thing where appropriate in our cat-feeds - I was disappointed to find out that Newzcrawler, Amphetadesk, Sharpreader and BottomFeeder *don't* support aggregation enclosures (damned freud...) - Radio does, which is cool.

Dave Winer: "I've started a list of aggregators that understand RSS enclosures. Right now I only know of one, but I hope that changes soon. Enclosures are, imho, a really big part of where RSS will go."

Hmm...this just might be what it takes to get into serious digital *now*. I've got an EOS1 and a Rebel G and I'd love to start focusing on serious digital, but is the EOS 300D going to be serious enough or do I need to spend the extra $1000 for the features I want? Wait, that's a lot of zero's, I think I know what the correct answer is - but the actual answer still eludes me ;)

"Canon's new inexpensive digital SLR Another new digital camera from Canon. This one isn't exactly as consumer-level as the PowerShot A80, but their new 6.3 megapixel digital SLR camera, the EOS Digital Rebel (known as the EOS 300D everywhere else) is noteworthy for other reasons. It's basically a stripped down, inexpensive version of Canon's EOS 10D that's compatible with Canon's well-regarded line of autofocus EF lenses. At just $900 for the body (lenses are extra), this is just about the least costly digital SLR we've ever seen."
