I added an Adsense banner to the top bar of the blog.

This is a data gathering exercise. I'll definitely share results when I have some. In the meantime, let me know what you think.

First, let me wish deepest sympathies to everyone in Canada for, once again, keeping Lord Stanley's Cup in the USA. I am sure that you will be able to field a better team next year.

Generally speaking, I don't see any problem with text ads on a blog.
The only bummer with yours is the impact to header size. It makes the header so large, that it takes up nearly a third or half of the page, depending on toolbars, browser settings...
However, it would have zero impact on whether or not I continue reading your blog.

And, yes, that one click was me making sure the tracking was working.

I've had zero luck with google banners on blogs. The banners I run on YourWallpaper.com and MyPornName.com are paying the bills though :-)
