[02:45PM EDT] The way things were going this mornging, I figured for sure that today was Friday the 13th.

It usually takes me 20 minutes to get to the office - it took me 45 today. Everything seemed to get in my way - I wasn't even able to make a sandwich without encountering several delays.

Bizarre stuff - breadbag stuck shut, a pedestrian crossing every intersection and on, and on and on.

Of course, it could have had something to do with the fact that I had schedule a meeting for 9am - nothing ever seems to go wrong when I don't have to be anywhere... C | T (53) | #

Monday, May 19

[11:06PM EDT] Amanda and I went for a bike ride on the waterfront this afternoon. Great day for it too - nice end to the weekend.

On the way back, we were cruising down the highway, windows down, stereo blaring and then out of nowhere - BANG!

The bizarre thing was that the noise came from within the van - and I don't have a gunrack. Definitely loud enough to make my ears ring and definitely enough to make me pull over and figure out what the heck had happened.

Turns out my bicycle tired had exploded.

Quite odd considering that I had been tooling around on it all afternoon. C | T (49) | #
