Spam and cockroaches... At the end of the world, there will still be... spam: "There are rumors the government has a vaccine. There are rumors spreading that all manner of things -- high dosages of antibiotics, ultraviolet rays, crystals, freezing temperatures, heroin -- will protect you from death by flu virus. There are rumors that China has detonated nuclear warheads over its own cities trying to burn away the epidemic. There are rumors that the Queen is already dead, and that Tony Blair and George Bush have been whisked away to a secret flu-free base in Antarctica."
  Little Wing.

I swear that this is actually Adam Sandler trying to pull a fast on on the Internet. I knew that there was something horribly twisted about New Zealand. This is so wrong on so many levels. E for effort? "I am going to teach you how to scream... I made it easy for you, listen."

How many words? Camera phone stats from Business 2.0 column "Since January, T-Mobile users have sent more than 1 million photos to one another. Sprint PCS (PCS) president Len Lauer recently said that camera phone owners send an average of 15 pictures a month." [via Werblog]
Mirror, mirror... SourceForge Download Mirrors...gone? SourceForge used to have a lot of download mirrors. I used to use one that was here in Phoenix. My downloads were blazing fast when I downloaded code on my current gig's connection. But now there are only a couple left. So sad...[via News from the Forest]
New MT Release Version 2.64 Released Version 2.64 of Movable Type is now released. This is a maintenance release, fixing various CSS, XML-RPC, UI, and Creative... [via Movable Type News]
  Bingo John Porcaro:

So after reading the book again, I realized that the concept behind Gonzo Marketing is about allowing employees to build (or participate in) communities (or sponsor already-built communities), and have real conversations with a human voice. [via The Doc Searls Weblog]
Pirillo writes  "James Hsiung is my new bestest friend." No, not *that* James Hsiung.
screwed a bit with the master templates - changed some of the copyright stuff, modd'ed some font sizes, generally made a mess of the css...
DG : I be talking too now.
17 steps is too many steps to force an average bear user to go through just to create an photoalbum and upload a picture. Ten steps alone for just the "upload a picture" part (okay 10 ½). Well, the bright side is that at least, we have ten steps to work with (better than none) and a whole whack of horsepower backing it up. This is pretty exciting.
also note that there is only one article on this page - and there will only ever be one. That's a new dial as well - how many articles per page? or how many days per page? fun whee.
Cin Gas If this doesn't show up on the main page, then I think it means that this is the first blog app to support bubble controls. Onwards and upwards - now I want to play with persistent links ;)
Nilesh has a plusgood photoblog. I like.
The New MT Clients are also New Blogware clients. Just that no one knows this yet ;)
Ummm... Were the Grateful Dead Freemason Satanists? As seen on the Freemasonry Watch Discussion Forum. [via Radio Free Blogistan]
Justin Rudd has done an informal Ruby vs. Python analysis.
Pirillo says "NewsGator 1.2 Released I'm entering this post through Outook 2000, thanks to Greg, Matt, and Simon. They've finally turned the PIM into a very rudimentary blogging tool. "We are pleased to announce the release of NewsGator 1.2! This is a major release; e-mail integration is tighter than ever, the NewsPage has been significantly enhanced, and we've added posting support, allowing you to post to your own weblog. Numerous other features and fixes round out this release, undoubtedly making it the most capable news aggregator on the market today." [NewsGator News and Updates] Pure, unadulterated awesome...." [via C:\PIRILLO.EXE] Am I the only one on the planet that can't getnbspNewsGator to work?
Dan moves the ball forward with SMBMeta and demo's some new sample applications
Pirillo points out Strange Banana. I really like this - we should try and build something like this into Blogware as a templating assistant.
Reuben or Clay? Okay, don't tell anyone, but I'm watching American Idol. My money is on Clay. Not because I like him as the winner (well, I do) but because in early returns, they've announced that Clay has taken North Carolina and New York State - while Reuben has taken Alabama and Florida. With only 3% (give or take) separating the winner from the loser, we have to make a good guess. Well, based on the populations of these four states assuming a roughly equal distribution of voter turnout, it would look like Clay came out ahead...that and the fact that he's not getting any real camera time would lead me to believe that the producers are setting him up for the win...we'll see. I've got a 50/50 chance of being right/wrong :)
Two new blogware'ers... Amanda 'n Chuck. Amanda says that we need templates that are "pink 'n frilly 'n shit". Hmm....
  Hoo-wee - look at Joe...getting all fancy with the template's 'n stuff...
oh my ick.. I can't believe I found something that I like less than expense reports. Buttermilk Yogurt. This stuff is like sour cream in a yogurts clothing. I mean, it would be great with indian food, but as part of my 3 1/3 cups of yogurt per day for breakfast regime, its absolutely horrible. I mean, it would take one mean baked potatoe (you know, the ones with butter, chives AND bacon bits?) to make this stuff feel at home...erghm...
Maureen has the coolest blogware URL yet...mo.blogware.com...get it? MOBLOGware? Ahh..forget it...
I absolutely hate doing expense reports. Yuck.
  rob says that I'm "mockumenting"...
  agh! erm...
Is anyone seriously working on patent reform in the US? Or should we just stay pissed off at the USPTO and keep doing nothing about it?
Darryl's blog was way more exciting when he didn't have one...
Someone told me this morning that it is now possible to buy run-of-site internet advertising as low as 5 cents per thousand ads served. That's 1/100 of what people where charging for it just five years ago.
i need bookmarklets to make this streamblog effective...for me I mean...it takes too long to post these few words...not bad for longer posts, but pain-in-the-assish for short bits...
xian's posted some interesting thoughts about the Microsoft blog rumors in response to a please-thinkpiece by Adam Barr...
This is a great example of why I want to get back to streamblogging. Bret has posted a great link to a statement by the gTLD Registry Constituency regarding new gTLDs. Its an important link that needs to be propagated - but I have no comment to make about it. Hence why I need a streamblog. Rapid fire stuff that just needs to get out there...
The whole idea behind the streamblog is to get back to a more rapid-fire mode of posting that I employed when I was using Radio. This template is a pretty extreme example, but I can work it from here...
  nuther test ...of the streamblog
this is a test of the streamblog idea...
