Speaking of spam, why is it that eFax insists on sending me their customer service bulletins via fax, in exactly the format that I don't want to receive?
eFax allows you to specify what format you want to receive your faxes in. I chose "PDF" because I don't want to have to install the proprietary eFax viewer just so that I can open a fax and view it on my MacBook. A couple of days ago, I got a two page fax in .efx format (efax) and figured that I must have misconfigured my account settings to use .efx instead of .pdf. Nope, the settings were fine. Since then, I've received a couple of new faxes in .pdf format, but then again this morning, I got another one in .efx format. I checked the settings again, and they were fine.
This time, I broke down and installed the eFax viewer for the Mac to find out who was sending me these documents.
Turns out, they were coming from eFax directly.
Folks - if you are going to spam your customers, at least respect their delivery format settings. <sigh>.
